Module 7 - Charts & Publications
Navigational Publications
Several publications supplement charts: the Nautical Almanac (e.g., Reeds or Macmillan's) contains tide tables, tidal stream atlases, port information, light lists, radio information, and safety data. Admiralty Sailing Directions (Pilots) describe the coast, harbours, and approaches in detail.
ADMIRALTY Lists of Lights and Fog Signals give official details of fixed lights and fog signals of navigational significance, plus selected lit floating marks, within each regional volume's coverage. Admiralty Tide Tables provide tidal predictions for their published coverage. A leisure almanac is useful but does not replace checking the current, route-specific official information.

- Admiralty Sailing Directions (Pilots) — detailed coast/harbour descriptions
