How it works

See the revision loop before you start

Yachtmaster Theory is built around three distinct jobs: Learn explains the topic, Practise gives immediate help, and Test keeps feedback until the end. Flashcards, audio and tools remain optional support rather than competing first steps.

How it works

Learn, Practise and Test—without mixing their jobs

Teaching comes first. Practise gives immediate help. Test keeps feedback until the end. Flashcards, audio and tools remain optional support inside the module.

1. Learn the topic

Start with the objective, explanation, application, safety boundary, recap, and an optional quick check.

2. Practise with feedback

Use five-question guided sets with an immediate principle, misconception repair, and exact lesson link.

3. Test at the end

Take an end-only topic assessment when you are ready. This is the only mode that updates the topic-test score and module completion.

4. Add optional revision

Open flashcards, audio, and interactive tools from More ways to revise without letting them replace the core route.

Question 4 of 5

Immediate explanation

Which lifejacket level is typically intended for coastal and offshore use?

50N
100N
150NCorrect
275N

Level 150 is the typical coastal/offshore lifejacket level in this comparison. Fit, crotch straps, clothing, condition and servicing still govern real performance; Level 275 is for more extreme conditions or heavy air-retaining clothing, not an automatic upgrade. Revise this in Personal Safety Equipment.
